Artists and bands I think are neat:

David Bowie

If I had to describe Bowie in a single word it would be variety, he truly explored all sorts of styles, genres and genders ;)
I truly think there's something Bowie made that can appeal to anyone. Of course he is better known for glam rock, however he experimented with all sorts of genres, such as his heavy synths on 1997's Earthling (more specifically his song Law (Earthlings on fire)); and his more dance-pop tracks on 1983's Let's Dance (including, of course, the titular song); all the way through to the more experimental sound of his last album, 2016's Blackstar.

But talking exclusively about Bowie's musical career would be ignoring a large part of his character, as I said, Bowie had nothing if not variety. Another important part of his life was his acting career, my personal favorite roles from him would be as Nikola Tesla on 2006's The Prestige (which also includes excelent performances from Hugh Jackman and Christian Bale); and as Pontius Pilate on 1988's Martin Scorsese directed film, The Last Temptation of Christ (REALLY interesting film, both for the content itself and for the remarcable list of people who worked in it (WILLEM DAFOE PLAYED JESUS IN IT)).

Another thing I would like to point out about David Bowie would be his surprisingly accurate prediction of what the internet would become and all his very interesting thoughts and philosophies of which the 2022 documentary Moonage Daydream features very heavily, along side various clips of David Bowie, which you can watch on Max and other... more creative ways. *wink wink*

As a summary I would like to recommend that you listen to the albums: Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars, "Heroes", Low, Earthling, and Blackstar in whichever order you would like, although I recommend chronological order; and enjoy all that this weird starman gave to us while he was in Earth.

Albums I think rock:

ROMCOM by Jakey

Although he is better known for his youtube channel (Nakey Jakey), Jakey proved that he knows how to make a damn good album, with an opener that hooked me ever since it was teased nearly a year before the album dropped and transitions that carry you from one track to the next seamlessly, this album is a great example of how production is one of the most important parts of making a well put together album. Each song in this album leaves you wanting more, and it delivers just the right amount to keep you going, without dragging on.

This album was in the works for years, and let me tell you, they were totally worth it, I myself got exited for this album and awaited impatiently since it got publically anounced all the way back on December 2021, and I was there on November 18th at the middle of the night listening to it because I couldn't wait until the morning to hear it, that album went on to be my no. 1 album of 2023, and the first 4 songs of the album were literally my top 4 songs of the year in order (see the attached screenshot for proof); and overall, this album meant a lot to me and was the soundtrack of my favorite year to date that is 2023 (maybe i will make a page abt it, no promises tho ¬.¬).

So to recap this whole thing, listen to ROMCOM and experience what is trully a masterfully crafted album like no other, and if you like it, listen to the other songs by Jakey (all of them are awesome so listen to them all!).
